It Berdan primed, so is it worth 12 cents/rd more than steel case Russian ammo?

Another 5cents/rd gets you reloadable Geco that is 30 or more years newer production.

Apparently some guys pay crazy money for the South African stuff. To me it's not really worth paying a substantial premium for it over the steel case stuff. I bought some of the yellow box Norinco for 20cents per round instead.

I dont see any advantage to the ammo over commercially available russian non- corrosive. buy accordingly. I still have tons of corrosive yugo , etc surplus I will probably never shoot, just because the NC ammo is so cheap.

These are 25 round boxes, not 20 rounds. 5 rows of 5. If top of box is 2 3/8 square, bottom 1 13/16 it is a 25 round box. Sold as 200 round battlepacks. Headstamp 13 (r1m3) and 80's date. Ball round lead core, berdan, brass case, I think noncorrosive. That's about 20 cents a round at 40 bucks for 200. (I missed a lot of skool because of girlfriends. They married well...not me) Iranian similar 25 round boxes, different colored cardboard, green battlepack. Iirc, SA was in transparent plastic like this in a nifty plastic can. Best to all, Tim.

It is very good ammo.
