I thought I'd post the pdf's I have found that have information on Husqvarna's. I cut out the parts directly on the Husqvarna's from the original, complete books.

The first is from Stuart Otteson, "The Bolt Action Rifle, Volume II." It is principally about the 1900 action and it's design, but also gives a brief history on the 1600 action, as well as the history of Husqvarna and FFV/Carl Gustaf's commercial endeavors. Unfortunately, the original scan of the file left some of the hand drawings rather lightly defined.

The second is Frank de Haas' book, "Bolt Action Rifles." This one has information on both the 1600 action and the 1900 action.

Both are well worth a read, and both are out of print.

Here you go, but I might be allowed to repost them again, soon:

Hope y'all like. Anyone else have any other information sources on the Husqvarna they would like to share?

Many Thanks for that info.

I am in Australia where folk mainly buy American rifles but a few wise ones know of the legendary Swedes, Carl Gustafs and Huskies.

I have a 270W Carl Gustaf 'Swede' Deluxe 1900 action (1970 through 1977 I have read) and with the rosewood schnabel. My Son and I are sharing it.

The Sako have a strong following here but Husqvarna stopped making them far too soon.

I am very pleased to have it and will have it in my hands soon enough.

Great site and looks like this site is the single best repository of Carl Gustaf HVA wisdom.

Many many thanks and all the very best from warm and sunny Australia.

Thanks Pinkbunny,

This is a site where we share information to members of a specific user group, not the public at large and not for gain. Using and sharing copyrighted material is allowed subject to certain user precautions.;)

Seems like some Black Bears are rather timid.

The thing is all you provided was a link to information and did not trade, swap, sell or broadcast that information.

By providing information you have benefited the community of gun owners and users and not breached any rules or regulations whatsoever including terms and conditions of this forum.

By Mr Black Bear's 'not wanting to be nasty' :tisk:standards, anyone talking, discussing or putting talks or discussions into print or broadcasting it, is committing a sin. That is not so however. If I talk about a certain rifle and how to use it or fix it, then am I infringing the copyright of the manufacturer who may have put these same instructions into a manual or user's guide?

The book is out of print, the links are in other places on the web, not infringing anyone's rights or copyrights.

Thank you and all the best and may sharing of information not shot down by friendly fire.

any chance we could track down that link to the 1900s again? the link seems broken at this point. thank you

Coincidence! I just downloaded Stuart's 2 books several days ago. PDF & both volumes free. I didn't keep the reference and am ALWAYS concerned about also downloading something unintended, such as malware. Ever the "...at your own risk" caution!
All 'seems' legit and working! Quick recheck for link and finding now only another Website. One I've used before to download "Bolt Action Rifles", by De Haase, 3rd edition from 1995. Worked for me! This Website today seeming entirely legit. Went to sample download Ottenson PDF offered. Slow! Definitely not 'PDQ'! :) I abandoned. Likely with patience to work and if not, "online use free!"

For those energetic, believe you too can locate both volumes on the Website I just recently used.

Here's the one just found: S Otteson The Bolt Action Rifle Vol I : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

Good Luck & Best!
