A Yugoslavian M24 came in to the local shop...still has the crisp unscrubbed FN Fabrique roll mark on the receiver. Non import with very good finish on metal..and good looking tube..BUT..it looks like one of those "cigarette" K98's only the checkering is crude. Non-matching bolt has been bent. The stock is walnut but has been bobbed at the front..extended at the butt and has one of those creative wrist extensions complete with cap. I am tempted to get it for the $90...find a M24/47 with a decent incorrect stock and at least make it look half way militry again.

For 90 bucks I'd pick it up & re-stock it as you said.

Might as well...

The FN produced M24's were very early and I see the remnants of the FN roll mark on the M24/47's sometimes. If this one had a marginal bore I would pass. The bore is real good though. I might be able to snag a stock/handguard when someone decides to put a synthetic stock on their M24/47.

For $90 it is well worth it. Not to many of these around.
