This is a different headstamp. Only making on the tin is 124 as the label on each box. 59 is the only headstamp marking. Any info on this stuff? Thanks

Yup, both factories (11 & 12) made this stuff in the 1959-1963 time frame. JH

Pat, PPU built lot #124" in 1959. Besides having a sterile head stamp, these cartridges are loaded with type "02" powder. Unlike type "05" which is the most common in Yugo 7,9 ammo, the type "02" is tubular, not square flake. JH

M49 Powder

Here are the two powders for comparison. Both with M49 (198 Grain) bullet. Since the 15 round sterile ammo box has no label, you need to look at the case label under the lid for powder types. JH

I've got a few hundred from 1961. When I posted about it years ago, nobody seemed to know much about it. There was more at the shop the day I got it, but when I went back, it was all gone. Only got 450 rds. I recall.

I fired one box to see how it performed. Was equal to '70s ball. Put the rest away in storage.
