your opinions on reference materials

I recently purchased "The Mosin Nagant Rifle" by Terence W. Lapin and Doug Bowsers' "Rifles Of The White Death"..When I buy firearms I usually like to get the best reference materials out there on the subject, and I was wondering on your opinions on these two books(I haven't received Doug Bowsers book yet), but Terence Lapins book seems to be a good reference on the subject, are there any other "must have " books out there covering the Mosin Nagants various models..

Thanks for your opinions

7.62x54R.com is another excellent reference site.

Yeah!!...what Vic said!!...your BEST resource is right here, followed by our sister site at:

http://mosinnagant.net/

The Lapin book, even though it has been edited a bunch, still has some inconsistencies and improper information...so, be aware of that, and check any questions or inconsistencies here on the forum...all-in-all, however, it is still a useful reference nonetheless...

The Bowser book is a really good, sound reference on Finnish Mosins and tends to be my go-to when looking for quick Finn info...
I agree that www.mosinnagant.net and www.7.6sx54r.net are the two best sites for information.

As far as reference books, my favorite is "Drei Linien Die Gewehre Mosin-Nagant" By Karl-Heinz Wrobel. Even if you do not read German, many of the photographs are self-explanatory. Herr KH also runs weekly quizzes here, and may help with translation, if you ask politely.

Fortunately I do read German. but I can't seem to find that particular book anywhere for sale online, I'll continue searching for it..thanks for the tip..as for the websites listed, they are a great go to source, but sometimes when I'm at work or away from my computer and I can't access them, a book is the best choice for me,(like if I'm looking at Mosins at a gun show or a pawn shop and I need a quick reference for ex.).

Thanks again guys..
Here is where I got mine: Amazon Germany:
http://www.amazon.de/Drei-Linien-Mo...2316/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331125657&sr=8-1

Volume one is not available although I have seen 1 or 2 for sale here on Gunboards WTS forum (but I wasn't fast enough.)
Gebhardt's translation of the Mosin Nagant manual is another good reference piece you might want to pick up.
