I recently acquired this Yosegaki Hinomaru and would like to know whom it either belonged to or the person that dedicated this flag. I know that the large ideograms closest to the hoist side say Ki Bu Un Chokyu, "I pray for your long lasting military fortunes" and assume that the next larger ideograms to the left are either the recipient or the person that conveyed the flag upon the soldier.
I'm supposing that the ideograms surrounding the sun are well wishers, either friends, co-workers or family.
Thanks for any info offered!
