Late in posting this, as I actually got it a few months ago.

Gras bayonet, X serial, X79271, with matching scabbard. Spine marks have been scrubbed, with just enough remaining to see something used to be there. Normal inspection marks are not present.

Ian's book says St. ETIENNE made 1182 X series Gras in the production table.

Why then is this one serialed orders of magnitude higher? Did they not serial sequentially?
