WTS a extremely rare Type 22 Murata Japanese Infantry Bolt Action Rifle it has an 8 round tubular magazine and fires a 8X53R Murata round. Only 150,000 of these rifles were made between 1889 and 1899 and of the 150,000 produced the vast majority were destroyed, scrapped or lost since the time production stopped 110 years ago and only a handful of these very rare rifles remain now. I seen one on Gun Broker in much worse condition with a sanded stock go for $1200 now there arent any there.
Condition is good and better than average condition for a Type 22 Murata. Stock is NOT sanded and is NOT bubbad and still has its original finish!Stock is solid and has no cracks and checkering on the handguard is in very good condition and is not worn. Metal finish is also original and is very good with deep blue bluing strongly visible in many places. Mum is intact and is %100 Bore is excellent and shiny with strong lands and grooves. Rifle is solid and there is no wobble and nothing is loose. All moving parts on the rifle function and move smoothly as they should. Rifle lacks a small short upper handguard but most Type 22 have the handguard missing from what I have read and seen. In many cases the handguard came loose and it was discarded while the rifle was still in service. Bolt is a mismatch but is in good condition, bolt head is missing but bolt heads on Type 22 Murata are more often missing then not, [email protected] sells bolt heads for Type 22 Murata Rifles. Rifle serial number is 130,*** and this puts this rifle in mid 1890 production range. Rifle and all parts on the rifle are %100 genuine. I can email more pictures to interested buyers I have over 100 photos of the rifle. PRICE IS $850 SHIPPED I accept Money Order or Check

hey pal, this forum doesnt take kindly to you raising prices because you have some people interested in it.

you purchased this rifle for $250

tried to sell it for $1200

then reduced it a few times to $799

now you raised the price to $850

sounds like you are trying to start a bidding war over your incomplete, wall hanger T-22

I never tried to sell the rifle for $1200, so please dont make things up. My starting price was $990 shipped which is still cheaper than anything on the auction sites. My current price of $850 shipped is a few hundred dollars cheaper then what they sell at auction sites now if they are sold there at all as these are extremely rare! This Type 22 Murata is in better condition than most I have seen for sale. I have more pictures of my rifle available as well pictures of other Type 22 for comparison

Price raised back to $850 as I have potential buyers!

this is from another site where he tried to sell this rifle. he also quotes auction prices, but fails to mention current T-22 auctions that are more complete and in better condition than the one here that have sold for less than his "below market value" price.

"used car salesman" just about sums it up.

The price of my Type 22 is more than fair, I raised the price by $50 because I realized I was selling way too cheap, at $850 its still good deal lower than market value, these Type 22 sold for way more http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=118571760 and
http://www.auctionarms.com/search/displayitem.cfm?itemnum=6355652. If your looking for a mint and all compltete Type 22 dont expect to pay under $1700 These are examples of Type 22 that have sold for $600+
