Almost all 1909 Argentines that I see have the crest intact. A mismatched '09 would be worth $250 if you wanted a shooter.
If it's an 1891, of the ones I've seen, if they are perfect and matching, the crests are ground, if they have a crest they are rougher and mismatched.
If it's perfect and matching, with a crest, it's worth way more than $250. Yours sounds like one of the more used, mismatches, so I don't think the crest improves it's value that much. $200-250 is probably fair.
Myself, I'd rather have a minty, matching rifle with a ground crest.
