If the rifle is matching and you want to keep it that way, the striker(firing pin) can be repaired.

Don Schlickman repaired two firing pins for me. $25 bucks each. Better than those Master Gun Parts repros being sold on line and by GunParts Corp at even higher prices.

I have a spare type 38 and a type 99 firing pin in my parts kit in case I need them...
