Trying to educate myself here...the easy way, by asking those in the know.
This is the wood from my Long Branch; it has been to the East and back. I am trying to determine what type of wood it is? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Well, just pulled off the rear handguard and found the
, stamped on the underside; so the wood appears to be Canadian. What did Longbranch use in '45? Birch?

Thanks, ansleyj. That is what I suspected. The wood is clean of stamps and marks on the surface. I would imagine it was sanded clean by the Pakistani's. I found a long Branch mark on the underside of the rear handguard, I need to pull off the rest of the wood and look further.
