Witnessed A "Bulk Buy" Today . . .

While I was in my semi-local hangout today, they had just cracked open a new crate of 91/30 refurbs. This guy comes in and buys 15 of them, and a crate to go with them. He didn't seem very selective (or if he was, he has different priorities than me), as he seemed to just be picking them pretty much randomly. For instance, there were two ex-pu snipers on the racks and he didn't get them. Dunno whether he's planning on reselling, stocking up for the apocalypse or what, but it was kinda interesting. :?

You'll probably never know his reasoning, unless you ask him!

Just a little anecdote:

A fellow on the SKS Boards got married last summer. His gift to each member of the wedding party was a refurbed Mosin Nagant M91/30. I could just picture six bridesmaids with cosmoline stains on their dresses. Of course, the mental picture of the greased up tuxedo on the Best Man didn't seem as odd to me.
That's cool. I just went to a wedding yesterday, but I don't think the wedding party got something as neat as that.

I was gonna do this when I got married!
I once got a mechanized hamster that sang "Kung Fu Fighter."

Though, one brother-in-law gave me a whiskey flask, one an edition of Oswald Chambers "My Utmost for His Highest," and a third gave me a US-made Uncle Henry pocket knife.
If I ever get married again, I'll be giving factory-new, unissued SVT-40s in cosmolene. If I ever, ever get married again.
