With winter approaching us and some extra time on our hands???
A few winters ago I had a well ridden put a way wet egyptian FN49. I was cleaning it and tried some coarse steel wool on the 3 coats of finish it already had on it. Since it was greasy and butt ugly I figured it couldn't hurt it. After some elbow grease it came out like a diamond in the rough. Then I took fine steelwool "0000" and went over it gain. While it still has some battle scars it looks great now and all i did was to take that nasty finish off of it.
