Yes, an Automatic Single Shot. A strange rifle introduced in the 1950's.

I'm looking for a part called the "loading shute" which is pressed in from the top of the action to load the chamber.

The Winchester parts list has it down as part No. 2, "Cover". The instructions call it a "loading shute" Probebly because you place the cartridge on it and then slide it down into the chamber.

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks for checking.

I had one of those rifles that was alo missing the "loading Chute" as you call it. I believe the orginal was made of plastic, perhaps delrin, and I never could find one either. I think your best bet would be to carve one out of black delrin this winter. Sort of an interesting rifle with the open bolt and all but I decided that there were other projects that I wanted to do so I sold it at auction in NH.
