Hey guys. My neighbor asked me if i could mount a scope on his Winchester 94 375 big bore. When i looked at it, it looked like the shell might eject out the top. Anyone here mount a scope or have a scope on there 94? Any idea where to get the mount? any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.-Rob

If it is a top-ejection gun, then you need a side mount or a Scout-rifle type mount and a suitable IER scope. Mounts can be had from Brownell's. Among other places. Now, if it is an angle-eject model, you use a suitable mount on top of the action, which will be drilled and tppedfrom the factory.

I wouldn't try to scope a 94 that wasn't already drilled and tapped - I'd take it to a 'smith who has the skills, tools and jigs to do it right.

Thanks for the help. I was looking a little, it seems mounts can be found to use existing screws. How do you tell if its a top or angle eject?

Should be drilled and tapped as I have a receiver sight on mine. Some mounts come with with different screws that take the place of the screw that holds the lever pin in place. The side mount usually has 3 screws to hold the mount in place. Two for where the receiver sight is located and the 3rd has already been mentioned.. Just remember to turn the scope so that the windage knob is where the elevation knob was,and the elevation knob is pointing to the left. Shouldn't have a problem with ejecting cases. Frank
