I've been shooting Wolf Gold Premium 180gr SP in my Mosins. Since their intent is hunting, I've stayed away from the FMJ. I recently came across 3 boxes of Winchester 180gr SP for a good price. Quality/consistency wise, how do they compare to the Wolf?

I like the Privi/Wolf better than the Sellier & Belloit made Winchester.

My preference would be the Prvi/Wolf. I don't care for Winchester brass, too 'hard'.....

I ordered the SP Prvi from AIM. I heard Prvi is excellent shooting, and great for reloading!

How is the brass life on the 7.62x54r? We've been shooting cheap steel cased surplus for years, so never got around to reloading for the Mosin's yet.

Winchester is sellier and bellot... partizan is better than it. I would think the brass would wear out quickly since the headspace would likely be pretty loose on a rimmed round rifle like the smle... but i have no proof. I'm just shooting steel surplus and will be for some time to come.
