So I have a 1929 pre-A model 52 and I bought a second set of 82a ladder sights and when they got here they are not the same as the ones on my .22. So can anyone help me identify them? They were worked on a bit at some point but the graduations are all different and there is no patent date.

Same sight model, different decades of manufacture. The one on the rifle is the earlier version, marked with patent dates and graduated in yards. The other one is later (not sure just when, but the 82A was no longer in catalogs as of about 1950), and the graduations are generic - for reference rather than specific yardage.
