Lets be honest.. We all dislike Obama and want to blame him for everything and fear monger about what hes going to do.
He is very anti gun.. But got stopped very quickly when he even spoke of another assault weapons ban.. However with this upcoming election and him having no need whatsoever to keep people happy(2nd term) he could go after them.

Do you see prices skyrocketing to the same price increases? More? Less?

An example is wolf x39 was going for $180 per case before election time. During and right after $400+

Rumor and rumor only!!!! Are dealers having a little harder time getting receavers ( AR)? I heard that at the local level. Just a rumor/Hype. Will the black rifle companys start ramping up and or holding back rifles to gamble on having Preban rifles to gauge us with? Or it is some dealers hording up lowwers on speculation. I know that I want one any way for a project. I have been weighing out buying a few on speculation myself. Oh and grabbing ammo.

I think it will stay the same but maybe a little higher because people just don't have the xtra $ because our Comrade-in-chief is assisiting in ALL prices and costs rising.

Last couple of gun shows I went to were packed. Haven't seen that many people out since the economy was good. A lot of guys were buying their first guns... ever. Dealers were all saying business has been great over the past few months. Most guns & ammo I saw were marked down in price, not up. No shortage or pistols, black rifles or ammo this time around.

Prez is just like any other politician, and is subject to same ebb and flow of business as usual politics. I'm not so concerned with any potential legislation Obama may or not sign off on, but sneaky legislation brought forth by senators or reps in the guise of something reasonable, when it is anything but. That being said if there is a scare the community's own miss-information and spreading of FUD has the ability to do far more damage of driving up prices then any precieved hair-brained legislation.

First of all prices ARE rising, and its not just legislative fears, its fear of worse than that. And that fear is real. This country is in trouble. I was at a major show, walking around for an afternoon looking over 2000 tables, and that place was shoulder to shoulder! Ammo was higher than usual. We need to remember to get the ammo for the rifle your most efficient with.... The BEST you can buy, regardless of cost, as if something does come to pass, ammo will be priceless.

As someone in the business, I can say that restocking sold items is getting increasingly difficult. Shipping has gone up because of fuel.

Try ordering Ak receivers, mags or even rifles, the best deals are sold out, & the fair deals have crazy shipping.

Hell yes the carnage has started. Try and find some nice non-steel 74 mags at a decent price IF you can even find them for sale. Almost all of the Yugo M67 has dried up and when found has increased in price. Rifle prices are going up too, no more $389.95 wasr's to be had.

Same thing for 74 rifles. Original barrel parts kits sell for more than the TGI truck guns did. I have heard/read where the major players will be raising the price of rifles before the end of the year.

I've noticed prices going up. The last two shows I went to(1 month apart) I saw the same Wolf 7.62X39 take a $1.00 jump per box. I think this is a combination of election fears and dealers capitalizing on those fears.....I'm gladI bought my last two rifles when I did, and I'm also glad I stockpiled a little more ammo...

Prices are way up.

A variety of factors--fear of ban, metal costs, falling dollar value, some items drying up. In short, to keep shooting after seeing centerfire ammo prices going up, I shopped hard for a decent set of 22LRs. Keeping my supply of centerfire in reserve. I've pushed the family accountant as hard as I dare, but have no complaints on what I'm allowed. I bought all things gun for a lot, lot less only a few years ago. By the way, anybody read the SGN article on building an AR15 for $485. I built two years back, they are really easy if you follow the directions. I decided to jump in to make an ultralight social rifle. I can't even come close--$700 is about the best I can do. ??????
