My wife's grandfather came from Switzerland in the early 20th Century to the U.S. (in 1911) and we dug up a picture of him in his Swiss Army uniform.

A nice "fit" with the K31 I have, although I know he would have been issued an earlier rifle. No other pictures or information about his service remain.

I should mention I picked up this rifle several years back when they were relativelt cheap0, from AIM - they had a special - rifle, sling, muzzle protector AND 60 rounds of Swiss ammunition! The price: $139.00
