Anyone here know about these revolvers or know a site that has information about these? This revolver was dug out of a Civil War camp(hut) hole in Stafford County Virginia. When I first saw it,I thought Whitney, but it has a "D" shaped trigger guard. With some research online, the only Whitney with this trigger guard,is a two trigger model. The two trigger model has a brass frame and this one an iron frame. When it was cleaned up,I notice that it has what looks like a second trigger broken off in the front of the trigger guard. Were some made with iron frames or is this some other make.I would say it is a Whitney two trigger with an iron frame, but will yield to those with more knowledge than I.
