got this in an e-mail a few days ago, thought i'd share the enlightening joke:

By Tom Adkins:
Look at my fellow conservatives! There they go, glumly shuffling along, depressed by the election aftermath. Not me. I'm virtually euphoric. Don't get me wrong. I'm not thrilled with America's flirtation with neo socialism. But there's a massive silver lining in those magical clouds that lofted Barak Obama to the Presidency. For today, without a shred of intellectually legitimate opposition, I can loudly proclaim to America: The Era of White Guilt is over.
This seemingly impossible event occurred because the vast majority of white Americans didn't give a fluff about skin color, and enthusiastically pulled the voting lever for a black man. Not just any black man. A very liberal black man who spent his early career race-hustling banks, praying in a racist church for 20 years, and actively worked with America-hating domestic terrorists. Wow! Some resume! Yet they made Barak Obama their leader. Therefore, as of Nov 4th, 2008, white guilt is dead.

For over a century, the millstone of white guilt hung around our necks, retribution for slave-owning predecessors. In the 60s, American liberals began yanking that millstone while sticking a fork in the eye of black Americans, exacerbating the racial divide to extort a socialist solution. But if a black man can become President, exactly what significant barrier is left? The election of Barak Obama absolutely destroys the entire validation of liberal white guilt. The dragon is hereby slain.

So today, I'm feeling a little "uppity," if you will. From this day forward, my tolerance level for having my skin color hustled is now exactly ZERO. And it's time to clean house. No more Reverend Wright's "God Damn America," Al Sharpton's Church of Perpetual Victimization, or Jesse Jackson's rainbow racism. Cornell West? You're a fraud. Go home. All those "black studies" programs that taught kids to hate ******? You must now thank ******. And I want that on the final.
Congressional Black Caucus? Irrelevant. Maxine Waters? Shut up. ACORN? Outlawed. Black Panthers? Go home and pet your kitty. Black separatists? Find another nation that offers better dreams. Go ahead. I'm waiting.

Gangsta rappers? Start praising America. Begin with the Pledge of Allegiance. And please…no more ebonics. Speak English, and who knows where you might end up? Oh, yeah…pull up your pants. Your underwear is showing. You look stupid.
To those Eurosnots who forged entire careers hating America? I'm still waiting for the first black French President.
And let me offer an equal opportunity whupping. I've always despised lazy white people. Now, I can talk smack about lazy black people. You're poor because you quit school, did drugs, had three kids with three different fathers, and refuse to work. So when you plop your Colt 45-swilling, Oprah watchin' butt on the couch and complain "Da Man is keepin' me down," allow me to inform you: Da Man is now black. You have no excuses. No more quotas. No more handouts. No more stealing my money because someone's great-great-great-great grandparents suffered actual pain and misery at the hands of people I have no relation to, and personally revile.

It's time to toss that massive, obsolete race-hustle machine upon the heap of the other stupid 60s ideas. Drag it over there, by wife swapping, next to dope-smoking. Plenty of room right between free love and cop-killing. Careful…don't trip on streaking. There ya go, don't be gentle. Just dump it. Wash your hands. It's filthy.

In fact, Obama's ascension created a gargantuan irony. How can you sell class envy and American unfairness when you and your black wife went to Ivy League schools, got high-paying jobs, became millionaires, bought a mansion, and got elected President? How unfair is that??? Now, Like a delicious O'Henry tale, Obama's spread-the-wealth campaign rendered itself moot by it's own victory! America is officially a meritocracy. Obama's election has validated American conservatism!

So, listen carefully…Wham!!! That's the sound of my foot kicking the door shut on the era of white guilt. The rites have been muttered, the carcass lowered, dirt shoveled, and tombstone erected. White guilt is dead and buried. However, despite my glee, there's apparently one small, rabid bastion of American racism remaining. Black Americans voted 96% for Barak Obama. Hmmm. In a color-blind world, shouldn't that be 50-50? Tonight, every black person should ask forgiveness for their apparent racism and prejudice towards white people. Maybe it's time to start spreading the guilt around.

Good points, but I have to say, I never for on instant had any trace of white guilt within me.

For one thing, my family came to these shores long after slavery ended, so I certainly don't owe them anything. Not that anyone else does either.

I will say I feel bad for the plight of the slaves. You bring me one living person who suffered under the yoke of legalized slavery in America, and I will pony up some reparations ;-)

The final paragraph is the one I find most interesting...why isn't the media et al screaming about the fact that 96% of black people voted for a black man like they would be if 96% of white people voted for a white man???? No one (other than conservatives or the very few right leaning people who have a voice that can be heard by the masses) has said anything about this!!!

Well, my momma's family had some folks who held slaves. That ended around 80 years before i was born. I felt and feel no guilt of a personal nature, and cannot be made to.

I know for a fact my family had slaves and I have never felt guilt. I think they should feel lucky to be here, they could still be screwing monkeys and being ate by lions.

Slavery is still very much in evidence in Africa and, guess what?, it is all black on black slavery.

White Guilt? Ha! They can STUFF it.

Well Said!!!!

Well Said Herringbone! VERY well said! My hat is off to you! My Family tree was traced and NONE, I repeat NONE of my ancestors owned slaves! By the way, my family has been in North America since 1620! SO! I feel no guilt what so ever!!!! I can say that I was treated like DIRT when I went to New Orleans. Reverse Racism is RAMPANT!! You're right when you say. "Don't speak ebonics." SPEAK ENGLISH! Lastly. I have Native American ancestors (Algonquin, Passamaquody, and Mohawk). Former slaves helped to exterminate Native Americans (The Buffalo Soldiers!) Does this entitle me to reparations? HECK NO! I'm proud of my ancestry! However, I don't FORCE it on those around me and expect any special treatment!

Let's address some facts one never hears:

1) African slaves, who captured and sold them? Well, they were captured by other Africans and Arabs in Africa and sold mostly to the Dutch. Many African slaves were captured and sold by other African tribes during warfare. To think that whites went to Africa in little boats grabbing Africans is as ridiculous as Mexicans in trucks coming here to grab Anglos off the streets to cart them back to Mexico. They would get away with it maybe once.

2) Do black Americans actually think they would be better off today had they been left in Africa? Most would be dead due to infant mortality and constant warfare and chaos. Two words: Monrovia; Liberia. Those that lived would not be living the American dream of cars, LCD TV's, social welfare, free medical care (yes that's what I said), gubment subsidized homes, free food, freedom, and the chance to be millionaires. The African dream? Eating, living to see tomorrow, not having limbs chopped off with a machete. Some of our fellow Americans of African heritage make as much money as entire African countries.

3) Slavery, who stopped it? White Americans did. The "punishment" for slavery was paid by 1865 in blood and consisted of 600,000 to 700,000 dead white Americans. Everything else after that, to include "Reconstruction" and the Voting Rights Act of the 1960s which still punishes the South., was piling on and political BS.

I have no "guilt" and especially no "white guilt". Anyone that suggests reparations for anything should immediately be deported to an African country of their choice with an advance of ten years worth of the average annual income of an African. According to the UN, the annual average income Africa-wide, is about $168.00/yr. for rural, $324.00/yr. urban. The average annual income in America, BTW, is about $45,000 a year. So, you want reparations? Here's your check for $1680.00 representing 10 years of African wages and a nice 747 ride to Mozambique International Airport and we'll be taking back your American citizenship that you bitch about so much. Thanks for shopping!

I believe this was in response to the exposure of that POS preacher Obuma loves so much, rev. Wright.
First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks.
It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave
ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to
Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and
prosperity blacks have ever known.

Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than
white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ’60s on
welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants,
student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and
poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into
the mainstream. -PJB

Something to think about, slaves weren't cheap. To the plantation owners they were a valuable investment. Average price in todays dollars was $15,000! A strong healthy man would go for $35,000!!!!
They were treated good and fed well..... by the end purchaser, we all know on the ships was a different story.
There were many more poor whites with less in their bellies and living in crappier conditions then the majority of the slaves.
The African still living "free" in Africa while his counter part that was captured (by other Africans) and sent to the US as slaves, was consistently looking out for large predators as well as other hostile tribes and picking termites out of a rotted log for dinner while his counterpart here was clothed, fed and housed and safe from wild animal attack and other people with bad intent.
They, slave owners, would no more mistreat or neglect a slave as they would a piece of machinery used in their business. Again, they didn't see them quite as equal humans, but they did see them as valuable business assets.
Think about THAT for a while!

Hmm, I'm half Jew, I should be able to get reparations from just about every country on the face of the earth eh? From Egypt to Germany to Russia to ...etc etc etc.
Maybe I should be raising a stink every day squawking and carrying on like a disgruntled fool and hating for all the wrongs on my ancestors!
Nahhh, I'm not like that, I just thank God every night that I'm an American, nothing more, nothing less, no "hyphenated" crap before it, I have no need to segregate myself as some sort of inferior group, just a normal 100% American.

Dr. Thomas Sowell, an economist, has pointed out several times in the last decade that American blacks - if you regard their collective income as if it were a national income - would be the sixteenth richest nation on Earth.

End of discussion!

My grandfather was in an orphange in Maryland and was bonded out - at age 6 -to a farmer in Iowa. in the 1880s. I am entitled to some reparations also.

(These were the days when you started working when the sun cam up, and if something happended to the horse, you pulled the plow - and no TV or airconditioning.)

My tolerance level for having my skin color hustled has always been exactly ZERO.

While the ancestors of those whining professional race guilters were sweating in the cotton fields mine, in several different countries, were busy being chopped up with sabers, robbed, raped, kidnapped and tortured by the armies of whatever European despot happend to wander through their villages. Fortunately most of them had the good sense to get out and move to the USA before the various Imperial, Red, White, Austrian, Prussian, and Nazi armies of the 20th Century stomped flat what little they had left. The ones who stayed behind haven't been heard from for almost 70 years, not a single trace left.

I'm not gonna post my demands for reparations from the entire EU and Russian Federation because it's as big a waste of time as anyone trying to trigger my non-existent white guilt.

I got this very same email a few weeks back. I too have been wondering about why the media hasn't been talking about the 96% of blacks who voted for Obama, and what that means about racism in America, quite amazing really.

Obama didn't say much about slavery reparations during the campaign( I think early on he stated e opposed them). But he also didn't SAY much about gun rights either. It's the stuff people don't talk about that can sometimes be important little details about how they think.

Why would he care? His black half was from Kenya, he doesn't decend from black US slaves. More then likely his tribe was capturing and selling natives to the slave traders.
Having a white half and a black half that was from another country he actually has more in common with the average white American then he does black!

Well, the Luo apparently were not terribly active in slaving (and any they caught and sold would have gone to Arab countries or stayed in East Africa, ratehr than being shipped to the New World), though if the claims that part of B. Hussein's ancestry includes Arabs are accurate, then he's certainly descended from slave-takers, slave-traders and slave-holders since Muslim Arabs in East Africa and adjoining areas were heavily engaged in those occupations.

Galaxieman, yep, I've been saying for months that the guy has absolutely nothing in common with black folks here in America. He shares nothing with their experience, but used his skin color to gain their support. Maybe he will have to payback for that support...........

Huh

This election hasn't changed black racism down here in the south. It just threw wood on the fire... Maybe time will change things but as of now it just gives a "f*ck you ******" tone... Black people (here) actually think this gives them the right to: not pay medical bills, insurance bills, bills in general... And, I just love hearing "get on these nuts" once a week... Yeah I heard it on a few radio stations before and since the election, instead they change "these to deeze" and don't say "nuts." Yeah, its the best thing to ever happen to the south. Shit the race card is so f*cking powerful in the south, there is no way it will ever go... Brainwashed, feelgoodist...................................

I live in the Deep South and I've not seen nor heard any of my black fellow citizens conducting themselves this way. If anything, I've noted folks being happier, more optimistic, and graceful about it. That's not to say it's not going on elsewhere, but just not here. The population in my city is 50/50. Our mayor is black and a fine fellow, just re-elected by a large, white southern conservative margin.

As an aside, I don't know of any Americans of African ancestry in my state that want reparations or think of Africa any different than I think of Scotland. I'm sure they would go back on a safari vacation, but they are Americans and proud of it. All this reparation foolishness is simply political baiting by a few who stay in power and in the spotlight by divisiveness and scare tactics.
