Many years ago I had a GEW98 with "Captured at Hooge trenches" engraved into the butt.
I foolishly sold it to finance a competition rifle and have regretted it ever since. The Target Rifle collected me a fair amount of silverwear but I would still like the Mauser back.
Anybody out there seen it ?
