This Chinese T53 has a great looking stock. It looks walnut to me, but how did it end up on a Chinaman?

The only markings are a couple of small stars and a small '2' and very small 'E' stamp on the comb of the stock.

But that sure looks like a beautiful tigerstriped Walnut on your Mosin!

It's not like any Catalpa that I have seen! Amazing stock for a T53 or any other M44. Great rifle.

That beautiful stock appears incorrect for Chinese rifle but all is not lost. I will take this improperly stocked weapon off your hands.........Do you need my FFL's shipping address.......?

It looks like catalpa to me. Tiger striping is unusual but not impossable. It's also possable the striping is from a poor finnish job at one point or another.
