I just got this stock disc in the mail, can any of you help ID the unit it belonged to?

A good thing there wasn't a 'V' in it somewhere to illicit a Vegemite related response from we colonials:eek:

And some of those units are lost in the sands of time, being only formed during WW1 or earlier and deactivated after the war.

There was one Indian Railway BLOWPIPE volunteer unit.

The "A.A." component of the disc marking means that the rifle was refurbed at, and probably issued from, the Allalahbad Arsenal in January 1923 (1.23).

So where's the rest of the gun?
