Picked up this Finnish bayonet. I looked at the Finnish site on bayonets, but still can't figure out what it is for sure. I believe it is a Model 27? It seems to have features of several bayonets.
It is made by FISKARS. There are no Finnish [SA] markings on the bayonet or scabbard, no -S- markings, no Sky marking, there is a serial on the backstrap 69147, the grips are regular wood (not burl) and are held on by screw bolts, and it has an oil hole in the pommel. See photo links.
Can someone "ID" it?
Thanks, David Franchi

I don't know bayonets, but my guess is M35.

M/35 it is. I also have one, which doesn't have any markings besides "FISKARS" marked in the blade and I have seen few others. According Palokangas (Military Small Arms in Finland 1918 - 1988 part 2 page 135) M/35 bayonet was manufactured between 1936 - 1938 and the total production was around 18,500.

It is just my theory, but maybe these were not issued before Winter War and when issued during the war nobody bothered to waste time by adding the rifle serial number and official acceptance markings.

So it is a M27 which has been updated? With the oil hole and screw bolt grips.

The m/35 bayonet was issued to the m/27 rifle. Your bayonet is a m/35. m/27 bayonets went through two phases. They bacame m/29's with the change in how the blade was affixed to the handle and then later on the m/35 when old ones were reground, blued and a oil hole added. The rarest of the m/27 series is actually an umolested m/27 as most were updated to 35's.

You have a m/27 scabbard on it though-the m/35 was smooth and has a round frog button.
