I don't know if it's the "ultimate" one but yes, it's a bubba job. Is there a description to go with that pic? If so, I'd love to hear it.

An abomination, but it would be fun to have it around for grins. Wonder how strong the pistol grip is.. i.e. is it usable? Probably kicks pretty hard.

Could be a cadet rifle shortened for the little buggers plus pistol grip to simulate SLR/FN for drill?
I do remeber something about SA putting pistol grips on SMLE's for this purpose. Not sure about the shotening though!

Picasso/Dali

This particular Enfield was designed especially by Picasso and Salvador Dali for the Nationalist forces in the Spanish Civil War. It was known as the Enfield Torro. This, I believe, is the MKII** version manufactured at the little known Enfield franchise situated in Malaga. Only 22,000 were made. The MKII** was unusual in that it had a flame thrower attachment and could also be used as a cigar holder.

The design was offered to Lithgow but they turned it down.

Its the famed.. Elusive.. Concrete jungle carbine! Made for urban warefare, except that one is missing the spinners and the stereo. Shame, its hard to find those parts.

Gotta say, I would love to have that in my collection.
It is obvious that the Bubba who put that together was smokin' some pretty serious weed!
Look at the work that went into that for goodness sake - it's simply gotta be seen to be believed. The novelty factor is 10++.

I've put a similar Bubbaisation to that on display in the Sporting Shooters Firearms Museum here in Sydney. It is a Type 38 Jap Arisaka carbine action that has been mated with No1 MkIII SMLE timberwork. The "bush" engineer who did this probably turned two stuffed rifles into one somewhat useable one - a testimony to the days of rationing and restrictions still in existance here for a while after WWII. It makes a truely unique talking point. Whilst it looks like crap, the ingenuity needed to achieve this alone has earnt it an acknowledgment.

You gotta wonder,...... how does it handle and shoot?? ;-))))

I would rather attribute this to the Darra/Pakistan shops. I have seen an AK47 receiver set up as a bolt action pistol grip box magazine .270 WCF with folding stock in the Pattern Room Collection that came from Darra. A close up markings would possibly resolve the question.

You may very well be on to something, as it does look beyond the talents of your average basement smithy. I hadn't considered that. Must've been the shock of seeing that thing. :D

Chargerclip, I'm left handed too and unless your fingers fold the opposite way from mine that's a right handed pistol grip, look at the finger grooves.

From the patination on that pistol grip the thing has seen some use. There would certainly be some entertainment value in handling the thing for a few minutes.

Incredible design and execution! I especially like the external screw threads behind the flash hider

I'll have to sleep with light on for days to avoid the nightmares about this one.
