Picked up a small quantity of 8mm ammo. It's FMJ copper jacketed. Brass case, headstamp marked in Cyrillic, equivalent of "PPY" over "1982".

VERY good stuff! My last order of Yugo 8mm was four tins- 1976, 1977, 1978, and 1982. I got these from the now defunct ammunitionstore.com a couple years ago at a (very) sweet price, but they don't ship the crates. As a result, one of the tins was broken open during shipping, and wouldn't you know, it was the 1982! I've been rationing it out to make it last, and it is by far the best surplus 8mm I have ever gotten my hands on. I'm saving the other three tins for a rainy day...

Unfortunately I only picked up about 100 rds, but it does look like really nice stuff.

Keep it aside for a nice rifle. This is really good ammo, and excellent brass, too bad it's Berdan primed...
