I think its a Russian modification of the Jan 23,1866 Patent by Harry Josselyn's chain gun, that used a rotating chain as the chamber of the firearm that fired a .22rimfire round.

This looks nothing like the French 'Guycot' chain gun's (both hand gun and carbine) that had capacities as little as 20 rounds and as 50 rounds
