guys got this in a trade, have no idea what it is, my best guess is for a shotgun cause it looks like it can tighten the cap on an 870 or something, any ideas, all it says on it is Michael's of Oregon and measures about 3.25 x 2.25 inches

I figured it out by asking the question on another forum, its used to hang a duty belt, not for a shotgun after all , but thanks to those who looked and racked their brains
