Found a picture of this machine gun on the news, it was confiscated in a drug raid today. Can someone please describe what maker, possibly what caliber and etc.? Thanks!

Looks like an inch heavy barrel FAL with some sort of loudener attached.

its an L2A1(Aussie) with the NZ /Papua recoil reducer installed ..the barrel and fold down bi-pod are Canadian we sold them to the Aussies..I sold my C2 A1 a few years ago kinda miss it ..still have a C1A1 though..IMHO the Aussie rifles were 2nd only to the Canadian in quality

Defo a L2A1, if you give Rod Woods the serial number he could give you some info on it im sure. He has a large number ofthe records for the NZ L1 and 2s imported.

I thought the 30 round mags were for the Bren gun.

Interchangeable with the L1A1 and bren, but for the L2A1. The bren mags had a slight curve to them.
