Munrod WINS!!! Top turret on a B-17. Damned small on the inside!

Sorry for the delay but between rebuilding the house and work I have not had much time to research. Lets try this one.

Clyde WINS!!!!! The biggest problem was that the Navy kept adding things to it. It got so heavy that it wouldn't fly right with the available power plants! Scared hell out of the test pilots!

Clyde WINS!!!!! The last replacement for the aging P-40 Warhawk, a plane that was obsolete at the start of the war, and served in combat till the end of the war!! The cleaned up lines of the XP-60D, along with the Merlin engine created a 450mph Warhawk! Unfortunetly we already had the P-51, and there wern't enough merlins to build both aircraft.

Diffrence from normal?

Clyde WINS!!!! Sold to the Nat. Chinese and the Dutch. There are some reports that it performed well.

Sorry Old Sailor. CLYDE WINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Temporary stop gap design as a night fighter. Fairly successful, did the job untill the P-61 came on line. That one lasted almost 2 hours, I must be getting better!

BOTH WIN!!! DD got most of it right, Clyde got the rest! This was also the last aircraft built by Curtiss-Wright for the Navy.
