2019 was a great year for me.
Due to this years general insanity, my 2020 additions have been quite limited.
Beginning in January was a nice private-sale FEG AP 7.65 (Walther PP clone) for $225, including holster and an owner's manual, then finishing up in November, another private-sale Deutshe-Werke Ortgies 7.65, 'beautifully reblued', and extra mag for $255, but included was a nice set of original grips, which went on my original unmolested Ortgies. Meanwhile, I found a reasonably-priced set of aftermarket checkered walnut grips for the 'pretty' one. Shone below the two Ortgies are the modern repro black plastic grips that came on my original pistol.
Otherwise, high prices, event cancellations, and this year's craziness have diverted my 2020 activities elsewhere.

Happy Motoring, Mark

I generally collect rifles, but I got this Husqvarna m/07 for $275.00 at an auction a month ago. It's a .380 conversion, but I ordered a replacement 9x20 barrel, two spare magazines, and a holster from Sarco for about a hundred bucks all said and done.

Picked up an Astra 300, a Type 26 Japanese revolver and a Femaru M37. All good matching guns I love. But the real acquisition was a fantastic all original DuLight Rem Rand 1911. Love the early 1911s.

Some really great acquisitions in this thread! Congrats to everyone who expanded their collection this year. I picked up a few things I’ve been saving up for as well as a few targets of opportunity that I stumbled across at local shops.

  • CMP Service grade 1911A1
  • -Astra 900 WWII German contract
  • -CZ-24 WWII unserialized German occupation variation
  • Sauer 38H Eagle/c police with a matching numbered mag
  • Correct ‘44 Remington Rand 1911A1
  • CZ-38 Super late WWII unserialized German occupation WaA76 variation
  • “Kongsberg Colt” Norwegian M1914, 1945 German WaA84 marked

Really nice. I am on the lookout for a Nazi contract Astra 900 and a Kongsberg is still on my list too.

Picked up a 1917 dated (by serial number) Savage Model 1907. It is the commercial model (no lanyard swivel). Managed to swipe it on a Proxibid auction with little to no bites. No final pics yet, it is currently disassembled for cleaning this weekend. Here is a photo I took once I got it home from the FFL.

OP, what year is your Frommer dated? I've got one more worn than your example, I've had it for a few years now. Mine is acceptance proofed 1922. Interesting pistols to say the least.
The Imperial Frommer Stop 7.65 mm is dated 1918.

The 9mm Frommer Stop was delivered to the Hungarian Army in 1917 according to the serial number.
