Went to the last day of an estate sale for a person who was into shooting, bought several items fairly cheap. I am not into reloading yet but am planning to in the future. That said, I bought this but am hoping someone on this forum will tell me what I bought and how to use it.

Just a guess, but it looks like some sort of jacket making contraption. I'm just guessing, but also curious to know what it is.

Edit: after magnifying the images some, I'd have to agree that it's most likely meant to seat primers.

What happens when you operate the handle? Does that plunger go in or out through the black plate? Does the bar with the pin and spring move horizontally? What the heck is that other bent pin on the starboard side do?? Like a vise swivel lock?? Completely stimed

It's almost certainly a priming device, though an elaborate and heavy-duty one. The vertical slot would have held a primer magazine, while the horizontal, spring-loaded slide with the slot through which the ram protrudes would have picked-up and fed the primer to the ram. The shell holder plate appears to be reversible, with slots for 2 different case types.

With the USA mark I am going to say a small commercial maker.....

Agree with the gravity feed primer feed......

You need measurements of the tube width and ram diameter......

Keep us informed if you find out
