I spotted this scope at a gunshow. It has the broad arrow mark, and crosshairs for a reticle.
Is it an artillery sight?
What is the relative value?
You guys are awesome!TEL STG No53 MkI
I see a Milsurps article from 2013 stating they were used on the Winchester 74 (amongst other things), but I don’t have access to it…… 🙁
Thank you! Very very helpful! From a post on Milsurps by ex-Armourer Peter Laidler:
"It was made later in the last War and was used as the coaxial machine gun telescope for the BESA MG on the Mk7 and 8 Churchill gun tank and the early Mk1 Centurions that also had BESA's."
He goes on to mention that some of the parts can be used as spares for the No.32.
Hey, I never said that!I guess Disaster Dog does not need one for his Churchill tank.
No, you need a No.22C MkI/II if its an early 6 Pdr, or a MkIII for a later 6 Pdr
