I spotted this scope at a gunshow. It has the broad arrow mark, and crosshairs for a reticle.
Is it an artillery sight?
What is the relative value?
What British Scope is this For? Spotted by me at Gunshow.

From a post on Milsurps by ex-Armourer Peter Laidler:
"It was made later in the last War and was used as the coaxial machine gun telescope for the BESA MG on the Mk7 and 8 Churchill gun tank and the early Mk1 Centurions that also had BESA's."
He goes on to mention that some of the parts can be used as spares for the No.32.

I see a Milsurps article from 2013 stating they were used on the Winchester 74 (amongst other things), but I don’t have access to it…… 🙁

I’d actually be curious what the hole spacing is on that mount. $125 doesn’t seem unreasonable but I have no idea what these go for. Really a niche item & dependent upon optical clarity.

No, you need a No.22C MkI/II if its an early 6 Pdr, or a MkIII for a later 6 Pdr

Actually there even was a super complicated for being externally adjustable mount design for the No. 42 to be used on the P.14 rifle, and the No. 42 being quite similar (the ancestor?) to the No. 53 scope, which, for obvious reasons, never made it into production.
