Curious about the (3) knives in this pic, not the saber. At first I thought they were KS98 bayonet variations but they are not. What are they?

Private purchase "Walking out" German dress bayonets. Used as sidearm instead of military issue bayonets. Others will know more about these than I know, something about the handguards reminds me of firemens dress bayonets, but I know next to nothing about the different styles and types.... At least, this is a start, others will chime in I'm sure.

Excellent, thank you for the quick reply.

All three are Feuerwehr-Seitengewehr. Fireman's side arms. They differ from walking out bayonets by not having fittings to mount on a rifle and having the recurved crosspiece (quillon top and bottom).

The one with sawteeth is not so common.
Also the Trodel (hanger, knot) will add to the value.
Look like nice pieces to me.

CharlesW, you are new so welcome to Gunboards. Please take a few minutes and check the stickies at the top of all Forums for "The Rules". WTB and WTS requests are not permitted, the proper way to carry that out would be to send and email or PT to the individual.

Sorry guys! I tried to find a PM or Email button, but somehow failed to see it! I don't want to bend rules, but to help.
I will refrain until I find out how to perform those functions.
I must also have read the wrong sticky.
I wish folks would not use abbreviations for everything, sometimes we who do not live everyday on forums don't know right off what WTB WTS or other things mean.
I was on one forum and every item was so unimportant they were all NQAG, IAB (Internal Affairs bureau?) and so on.
Just another old guy trying to figure it all out.
Welcome to the forum. Just click on the persons name in a thread that you want to send a PM ( private message ) to and a box will open and you could PM or email them.

Charles, sorry about the shorthand, Mauser202's advice should take care of you. Thanks for your posts and do keep it up, the more people we have the greater the opportunity to learn - for everyone.
