Spotted a Colt Commando .38 Special at Cabela's today for $450. Park is a little thin, but everything looks all original. Typical run of the mill 4" barrel. So, is it a good deal?

Sounds like a deal to me..........I think the mintage on these was only around 50k.......
+1. In my experience it's hard to find a Commando , even one with thin park, for under $600. I recently shelled out close to eight c's for a minty , early three digit serial # Commando.

So I shouldn't be ticked at my wife for not listening to me and putting it on hold?

At Tulsa, a gentleman stopped by with a nice original Commando with Franzite grips. I had an original set and we switched them, which made for a very nice pistol. He balked at my $50 price but when I told him that the correct grips added at least $200 to the value of his gun, he became more understanding.
