HOLSTER, GUN SOCK , AND BULLET MOULD

some of the markings it also came with 3 new screws to replace the ones that are buggered

I also ordered this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140286644854 so I can shot it

NICE

Nice. Nice also that ya got a bullet mold with it. I've got two MK VIs and crave a birds head model . . . but have a bunch of other stuff ahead of that on my shopping list. Rebarreling the original '73 Winchester that I bought this fall. . . A pair of original Remington New Model Army pistols . . . when I get those covered I can shop for another Webley , . . . one of these days . . .

Good shootin', . . .

thanks

John

what do think of the load I came up with

(265 grn hollow base pure lead sized to 451 bullet , over a charge of 4.5 grn W 231)

I slug the cylinder ,it mic. out to .451, the lead is from water pipe, the bullet weigh's out 263 to 265 and I have plenty of 45 auto range brass, I have been reading on the 45 auto rim cases and people are say they don't hold up, and to buy new 45 auto rim bras is about the same price as 455 Webley brass

if you guy's knew what I paid for all I got you would call me a thief

and the holster is a Timbers 1939

In my MKVI with 255 gr hollow base bullets and P38;
4 1/2 gr gives 692 fps, 5 gr gives 580 fps.
Using Unique; 5 1/2 gr gives 684 fps (and the best grouping to date 3 in at 25 yds).
Unique is rather dirty burnung, but I have read that it has been improved.
Good Luck!

thanks

I have read that too,
right now I'm trying use up my 20 year old W 231 (2 lb's left ) so then I can start on my 16 lb's of 15 year old Unique that I got a deal on ( for nothing )

I think I'm in the ball park, if I get a chance I will shoot 3 rounds to see how it shoots

Norm I have no idea about your load. I got mine from an OLD Lyman handbook when they still posted loads for the .455. Works for me, and I don't mind cleaning the gun after using unique.
Would stick with the remington brass. Keep in mind that .45AR is a couple of thou smaller in diameter than .455 and it will fireform. I use Lee .455 dies as they are the cheapest on the market and work just as well as any other. AND they don't size the cases back down.

I have several manuals the only one that has any data on the 455 is the LEE , I would think the old Lyman cast bullet manual would have it but mine doesn't ,even the latest doesn't have it ether , any way didn't see any bad pressure sign's , loaded them with 45 long colt & 45 acp dies with no problems , and resized
the 3 I fired no problems .

any way thanks for all of your help

when I run out of W 231, I will be using unique, don't mind cleaning
