On the subject of cleaning rods you can make a good begining with Military Rifles of Japan, Jerry Price of Florida has done some articles of various rods, if you want specific data contact me as I have an almost complete collection of rods that I have mounted on a 4 X 8 board for display purposes at the old Great Western Gunshow. I will be glad to help with data and can also help to find needed items while I travel around the country.
