I used to D/T actions in my younger years but it's been so long since I have done it. I can't recall what screw thread size weaver mounts are. I'm thinking 4-48, does anyone know. I need to get a drill and tapp to do an action I'm working on. Appreciate any info.

Hey W. you got it. This stock is beautiful. I glass bedded it and so far have 8 coats of TruOil on it. The grain and color is awsome. Ya, I'm puttin scope mounts on but it's been a while and my memory is worthless. I may decide on a different mount than the weaver, now. I lay it on there and it takes away from the rest of the rifle. I need to weld the bolt knob yet, I got one from Brownells and its in a jig I made. I love this stuff and it keeps me busy as I'm retired and need projects to keep things functioning. You know the story I'm sure.
