Hello,
I am new to the board. I recently aquired a VZ 27 pistol, serial is 476xxx. Normal markings on top of receiver have been ground away. It is fnh configuration, no date stamp or waffen marks. Curiously, on the left side, lower frame above the grip it carries the inscription: Maj Jon W.Schaub, JR 0-1167612. No import markings, possibly a GI bring back.
I would be grateful for any information regarding date of manufacture by way of the serial number. Pistol is in very good condition.
