Sitting in my gun room/office at home and drinking wine........the rest of the family has gone to bed.

Currently browsing Swedish tunes at Youtube........thought I would share some favorites with you.

Best current folk song artist there is....Sofia Karlsson:

Some older favourites.......you might recognize the lead singer:

My taste in music is somewhat old fashioned......at least my wife says so :) Besides Swedish folk music my main interest is classical music/opera.

Good music Anders, even though I do not understand a word. A good voice is a good voice irregaurdless the language.

I spent two years in Turkey back in the early 70's and listened to a bit of popular Turkish music, as well as Greek, in fact one of my favorite singers in Nana Mouskouri(sp) from Greece, singing everything from popular to opera.

Like you the older I get the more I like light opera and classical.

I double on Nana Mouskouri. However, I never caught on to the midlle eastern (arabic) music. Also overlooked by many, there are some fantastic ballet DVD's around, and find russian ballet and dancers among the best in the world ?
