Huckabee needs to start translating poll results like this into actual financial and grass-roots support.

I note that Ron Paul finished third.

Romney in first place?! Speaking as an evangelical Christian myself, I'd be amazed if many evangelicals got behind a mormon, and a rather liberal pro-abortion Mormon at that. Who sat out the Vietnam war. In Fwance :D . But then again, these folks still think George "Christians and Muslims pray to the same God" Bush is a Christian...

To be honest, Huckabee is looking better and better to me. I was hoping Fred Thompson was going to be stronger than he is showing. I agree with Ron Paul on some things, but have some serious differences on others. I'm not sure what I will do if Romney or Guilliani get the nod. Neither of them seems to be much better than a leftist in my opinion.

I really dont care what Giuliani or Romney have to say. I think either of them would sell us all down the river for a momentary political advantage.
And I doubt the Family Research Council vote means much. Only 5,775 people paid $1 each to become members and vote.

I would not have paid $1 in order to vote in such a situation. Probably a lot of others feel the same way.

If they had paid me, I would have g;adly participated in their poll. As a general rule, when a pollster calls, I ask "How long will this take? OK - that will be $250 x however many hours, calculated in .25 hour increments (I was a small town lawyer and didn't charge a high hourly rate)". For some reason, I tend to get a short silence followed by "We don't do that" and say "Too bad" followed by "Have a nice day (click)". Unless it is a Demonrat oriented thing (you can usually tell), in which case I usually take it and give them an honest response, which I'm sure screws up their results.

How come Paulites keep criticizing Huckabee for his lack of campaign funds? If I were them, I wouldn't keep bringing up the fact that Huckabee is beating Paul despite having spent a fraction of the amount Paul has.

That's the thing, Paul hasn't outspent him. With an army of volunteers, he doesn't have to. And yet he's neck-and-neck with Huckabee in all those "scientific" polls.

Huckabee has like $600,000 cash on hand. Spends it as fast as he rakes it in.

But at least he doesn't OWE money from past campaigns, like Alan Keyes...

The way these guys burn through campaign money, is probably an indication of how they'd spend taxpayer money once elected...

Well thats nice but sometimes they don't even put Paul's name on the selection of candidates to choose when they poll people.

The convention hall just BOOed Paul... but at least he has 5 million dollars... oh, and one pollster called him "insane"
Yes, a pre-screened neo-con audience.

Fox News Audience, Republican(7 neo-cons and 1 Republican) debate, Florida voters...perfect storm of stupidity.

Do we remember the mess in 2000?

Mauser boy (and DT too) you attack anyone who is not a Libertarian. Why, because you're so wrapped up in your own ideology, that nothing else matters?

http://www.homelandstupidity.us/2007/02/23/libertarian-badnarik-endorses-ron-paul/

Paul shouldn't even be on that stage. You complain that he doesn't show up in many polls - BECAUSE HE'S NOT A REPUBLICAN.

You Libertarians can't win fair and square, so you play the system.

Can't get any recognition? Well, let's move all our Kool Aid drinkers to New Hampshire and stack the deck!

Can't get Badnarik elected? Well, he'll be puppet master for Ron Paul.

You people disgust me, and I'm not holding back anymore. You criticise everyone else for being evil, you know what I think is evil? An unpopular minority that plays games to gain control of the Federal Government. That's pure EVIL. And to think I once respected you. You're no longer a political party, you're a CULT.

You're not fooling anyone. That 5 million Paul has raised? And the reason he's doing moderately well in the polls despite the fact that no Republican can stand him? That's because all the Kool Aid drinkers are supporting Paul.

You're attempting to hi-jack the Republican nomination for President and you have the AUDACITY to come here and be all high and mighty, like you're morally superior while you stab everyone in the back with this pathetic ruse?

Absolutely disgusting.

So, DT, MB, are you both in NH right now, drinking Kool Aid? Can you tell Badnarik I said hi and to go screw himself?

The public isn't fooled. I thought they might be, but Paul got lambasted tonight. I don't care if the Libertarians raised 50 million dollars, Paul is finished.

By going all in, and flooding New Hampshire, and putting all your resources behind Paul, you think you'll get recognition, but instead you'll go broke. You're about to crash your ship against the rocks of despair, and I'm going to point and laugh.

Paul is done.

No wonder every Republican is a "neo-con"... to a Libertarian!

Huckabee did quite well tonight, he still has a lot of time and is far better than the three leading canidates.

Ron Paul's stance on Social Security with not play with the general American public. He looked tired and worn out also.

Just please, no Rudy.......!

1. He's a Republican in the tradition of "Mister Conservative", Robert Taft. Not that you have any idea who he was. You probably wouldn't know Russel Kirk from Captain Kirk.

2. The folks in the 14th district of Texas would certainly seem to disagree with you.

Paul is done.

Well then, you have nothing to worry about, right? ;) Take a chill pill.

And tell your boy Huckabee to learn some American history :D

You know (or should) that his registration as a Republican has nothing to do with whether the people accept him as a Republican or not.

The truth of the matter is that Republicans hate him, he was BOOed for crying out loud! He's so out of touch with the Republican Party that they actually BOOed him, several times.

There are more and more peple asking why he's up there, and where he's getting this money from - the Libertarian Party.

You Libertarians are deceitful hypocrites. Your ruse isn't going to work.

JUST TO SHOW YOU HOW CRAZY LIBERTARIANS ARE: MB actually thinks that the only Republican on stage was Paul... when he is in fact the only non-Republican. If that isn't delusion, I don't know what is!!!

7 neo-cons and 1 Republican
