I ask you all, across the nation, what you consider a fair price, not a steal or top dollar for the two following Finnish rifles?

One is an M91 VKT '42. Clean bore and marked "Polustuslaitos" on the barrel top. The wood is a bright yellow/tan [refinished?], not the dark pine tarred ones I have seen and own. I know the "Pol" makes it a bit more valuable.

Two is an M27 Tikka, mid-30s. Clean bore and the same kind of wood as the M91. Both have matching bolts.

THANKS and Merry Christmas

I'd put the M91 at about 375.

Funny think about Mosins is that a dealer/seller typically either 1) thinks they are worthless crap and heavily under-prices them or 2) thinks they are wildy exotic despite knowing little about them and prices them at double or triple their market value.

Hopefully you are negotiating with dealer #1.

Prices are high if the stocks are refinished. I have a really nice one (42 VKT M91) I would sell for that kind of money, and its right.

The PL 1891 would be 295.00 to 395.00 depending on shape and pic.
The 27 really depends on the date and condition . 295.00 to 450.00 there
