What would an excellent condition, original bluing, 8mm Swedish 38/40 be worth? No obvious import marks from an estate of a high end collector. Sorry, no pictures are available. Thanks.

I have not seen an original one sold in the USA . The M-39 is in 7.92 m/m . Most were converted to the M-40 in 8x63 machine gun caliber . There are some in Sweden . If it is an Israeli conversion to 7.62 NATO , they are usually in well used condition . They probably sell in the $300/$500 range , depending on condition . The M-39 & M-40 would be very expensive in the USA . Be careful what you buy & make sure you know a correct one when you see it . See " Crown Jewels " by Dana Jones .

I have no idea what the price would be !!!!!!! If all original & complete , I could guess in the $3000 to $5000 range ?????? Very RARE rifle if you are in the USA . Does it have the muzzle brake ? What markings are on the receiver ? Does it have the inspectors initials ?
