Any info on this short sword would be appreciated their are no tang marks except for the knife. Someone thought the sword is probably ShinShinto, at least the fittings are.

Appears to be an O-Tanto, not a Wakizashi (short sword). Very nice indeed.

Blade is 12.5 inches.

O-Tanto. Which means "big" Tanto. Hard to tell about age. Looks like the tang may have been aggressively cleaned at one time, removing rust scale, and possibly any markings?

hira-zukuri style meaning no ridge-lines (shinogi). Very nice, blade.
