Doesn't look original to me.

The notch for the retaining spring looks crudely done. If it's a Nagoya sniper stock there should also be, at least, two "Na" marks below the lower tang.

In the old days a lot of snipers has the scope mount removed and a sporter stock installed, sometimes the mount was left, I have a Bishop stock cut for a mount. But on those snipers where the mount was removed some of us restored them with newly made mounts and stocks from 6th series rifles (no drain holes.) On the snipers I restored the alignment holes between the mount and receiver were left unfilled to show it was not original and these were added to my sniper collection and not restored to sell. But when they were sold they were sold as restorations. No doubt some were eventually passed along as unaltered rifles, the hazard of restoring rifles worth restoring. I guess they should be buried with you or at last resort, sold to the mutt.
