From the very scetchy info, I'd say you have a converted Chinese import, that was rechambered to 7.62x39? If so, it the standard AK/SKS round.

Look inside the magazine well. There should be some spacers added to the sides, for the shorter cartridge.

This was covered in a previous post, but I couldn't find it. There was a closeup of the mag well conversion. Don, anybody? A little help here.

The magazine mods don't work that well anyway; I'd just use it as a single loader.

There were two types of mag modification, maybe more. One used a spacer at the rear with a shortened follower and spring; the other used to guide ribs toward the front to keep the cartridges to the rear.

yep,on the single loader.think i'll get a box of shells and go push a round or ten down the tube.thanks guys.might even slip off to the gun show over in tampa and have a look see.need to find a fireing pin first .
