The attached pictures are of what appears to be a Type 38 Arisaka barrel stub (chamber section only) that I picked up this past weekend at a gun show. I tend to make impulse buys at gun shows, but fortunately this was not an expensive one for $1. It must be from a Type 38 - a 6.5mm Japanese cartridge fits in the chamber perfectly. It appears that the barrel screwed into the chamber - is this from a trainer rifle?
