Just got my second T30 rifle, and it has the Delta (equilateral triangle) stamp on the top of the rear receiver bridge. It also has the characters for ni roku (26) stamped on the left side of the stock, and the same painted in red letters on the right side of the stock. How does it come about that a standard weapon of the Japanese could be stamped as accepted for emergency use after being captured? And, what are the stamped and painted numerals all about?

Can you post some photos of the markings and their placement on the metal and stock? Also, how has the mum been treated? Ground? Overstamped?
