Welcome to the crowd searching for a " Unit Disc " . They are rarely found except mounted on a stock . Auction prices run $50 to $100 each , depending on the number of interested bidders or the particular unit markings . I believe I have seen only 2 at auction in the last year .

Good luck in the hunt for a unit disc .

Did this "Type 1" stuff come from the Poyer book? That's not Swedish military vernacular. Not that every word we use is Swedish military lingo but...

Yes, I used Poyer vernacular since it would be the most common term.

Poyer Book ???????

You will soon find out that Poyer's book is full of so many errors that it is not worth the paper it is printed on .

The only source for correct info on the subject is " Crown Jewels - the Mauser in Sweden " by Dana Jones . Buy this book before you purchase another Swedish mauser . It is worth far more than the $40/$50 price tag .

Fair point. I consider Dana's book the Backbone of the Vermacht for Swede's.

Who knows.. I found a front band for an Hakim and an Italian TS Transverse bayonet.. I may get lucky and find a early unit disk.:D
